Madre Laura” an exclusive to South Side Coffee Company, is offered through a Direct Trade partnership with Campesino Coffee in Jerico, Antioquia~Colombia. The town, which has a strong catholic tradition, is home to Colombia’s only canonized saint, Madre Laura, who is honored in the name of this single origin 100% Arabica Coffee.

MADRE LAURA is a community coffee that is carefully blended by maintaining a consistent profile. It is made up of coffee beans from 120+ farmers; each lot is cupped and analyzed to meet that perfectly balanced profile that best represents the town of Jerico.

Campesino’s main warehouse is located in Jerico, Antioquia. The town maintains a rich coffee culture that radiates throughout the streets. CampesinoCoffee set-up a warehouse in town in 2016, providing a new option for the farmers to sell their coffee at a higher price. They work with motivated and dedicated farmers that believe in the quality of their craft. Campesino has also set-up a coffee school and laboratory to be able to offer free continuing education to their producer partners and their families.
